Puppy Skills Enrolment
Puppies start their Puppy Skills training between 8 and 16 weeks of age.
Our Puppy Skills classes are designed to be fun and rewarding for both puppies and their owners, strengthening your relationship. In a small, friendly group setting, you’ll help your pup build confidence, learn good manners, and develop essential skills using the latest scientifically proven rewards-based training methods in a clean and controlled environment.
At this age, puppies are the most receptive to new experiences. Careful, positive exposure to novel things during this time is crucial for their development and can help prevent lifelong challenges from developing. We will guide you through this process.
Throughout the four-week in-person course, we will cover basic cues such as sit, drop, loose lead walking, and give. You’ll also gain valuable insights into co-operative care, preventing unwanted behaviours, toilet training, and much more.
The Puppy Skills program will cover things such as:
Teaching calm
Sit
Drop
How dogs learn
Responding to name
Give up items
Go to mat/bed and relax
Come when called
How to ensure vet visits are enjoyable
Socialisation
Strategies for puppy biting
Strategies for toilet training

And more!
