Our Focus

At Smart Choice Dog Training, our focus is on building effective communication between you and your dog and fostering a bond based on trust and mutual respect.  From effectively training basic cues to solving complex behavioural challenges, we provide you with the tools to raise or rehabilitate a well-behaved, confident companion. Get in touch today to experience the benefits of our force-free, positive training!

See the Dog

Our training philosophy is centred around our mantra See the Dog.  We focus on assessing and understanding each dog’s unique needs, personality and behaviour so we may teach you and your dog how to communicate effectively.

Our dog’s behaviour is influenced by many factors, including learning history, environment, genetics and health. By learning to read each dog’s body language, we can understand how they feel and why they behave the way they do. This facilitates us giving them the chance to make good choices, express themselves appropriately, and let their unique character shine through.
